NICK DROZDOFF  Has toured with Maynard Ferguson, recorded albums and TV and radio commercials, and performed with artists as varied as Gladys Knight, Sammy Davis Jr., John Denver and Dennis DeYoung, among many others.  Is a Getzen Trumpet Artist, performing in both jazz and classical settings.  Holds Master's degrees in both Physics Education from DePaul University and Music from Roosevelt University.

DAVE FROLICHSTEIN  Has recorded radio and TV jingles, albums and many Broadway shows, toured with Diana Ross as lead trumpet, and performed with such artists as Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Doc Severinson, Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli and many others.  Received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education from Northern Illinois University.

DAVE KATZ  Has toured with Louie Bellson, Dizzy Gillespie and Woody Herman.  Has recorded TV and radio jingles and played backup for performers including Peggy Lee, Bob Hope, Gladys Knight, The Temptations and many others, as well as for Rupert's 33 Club and currently the Orchestra 33.  Received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois Unversity.

GREG TIPPS  Another NIU alumnus, receiving Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education.  Performs throughout Chicagoland as a freelance musician in a variety of styles, and is also a clinician, festival judge and choir director.  Was band director for 35 years at Schaumburg High School, and currently directs the Harper College Wind Symphony and Festival Chorus.  Has contributed many compositions and arrangements to the Jazz Consortium Big Band's repertoire.

ALAN FROHLICHSTEIN  The Jazz Consortium Big Band's “18th man”—photographer, greeter, and all-around nice guy (and trumpeter Dave's brother).  "Day gig" is Certified Retinal Angiographer, having worked in the field of Ophthalmology for over 35 years, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Ohio University and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Photographic Communications from the Rochester Institute of Technology.  Photographs for other music events including the Chicago Jazz Festival and Chicago Blues Festival.  Website: www.alanfrohlichstein.com
